Control of Nocosomial Infections

The control of nocosomial infections comes within the quality and global risk management approach. It is provided by CLIN (Committee for the Control of Nocosomial Infections).
The CLIN tasks revolve around 4 axes: Prevention, Monitoring, Training, and Evaluation.
The actions conducted by CLIN meet ministerial directives and also establishment requirements.
CLIN meets 3 to 4 times a year. It is made up of the establishment director, a doctor representing each discipline, a pharmacist, care personnel responsible for each sector of activity, the Quality and Risks Manager and the operational hygiene team.

The Operational Hygiene Team (EOH) participates in the establishment of the annual CLIN programme and ensures it is implemented.
It is made up of a hygiene practitioner: Dr Loubersac, a hygiene executive: Dominique Matouk and a hygiene nurse: Lydie Labaut.

The EOH takes part in various networks:
- national: SFHH
- inter-regional: C CLIN Ouest
- regional: APLEIN regional branch
- local: GRASLIN, the group of CLINs in the Nantes conurbation.

Improvement in the quality and safety of care is one of the priorities of our establishment. In order to optimise actions taken within the establishment, it is important that you too take part in this effort.

Standard hygiene rules

- For you
We ask you to observe:
- the instructions for preparing for surgery: pre-operative shower and shampoo using antiseptic soap
- in particular, do not handle medical devices such as catheters, probes, drips, etc., maintain good body hygiene (disinfection of hands, daily shower) and finally comply with the instructions given by the nursing personnel.

- For your visitors

People suffering from transmissible diseases (influenza, bronchitis, etc.) must not visit you. Visitors are asked to be careful about hand hygiene and, generally, to observe the measures designed to prevent the transmission of disease.

Your room is equipped with a hydro-alcoholic solution dispenser for you and your visitors to use to ensure good hand hygiene.
