The TIA Treatment Centre performs the aetiological assessment of Transient Ischaemic Attacks following the recommendations of the HAS (French High Authority for Health) in partnership with IRIS (Cerebral Imaging) Group radiologists, cardiologists and angiologists from NCN and a neurologist from the city.
After a telephone conversation (dedicated mobile phone number) with the doctor who has made the diagnosis, the patient is treated within 24 to 72 hours as a hospitalised day patient for several hours.
After the treatment, a strategy for preventing recurrence and the occurrence of a CVA is offered if the diagnosis of TIA has been confirmed.
