Your stay

Stages in your hospital stay

Afterwards

What you must do on the day of your discharge

- Make sure you have not left anything in your room.
Check the wardrobe, bedside table and bathroom.

- Make sure you have not forgotten your medical documents.
Depending upon the circumstances, the nurse or your doctor’s secretary will give you back your blood group card, your X-rays, certificates, sick notes, transport vouchers and prescriptions.

- Carry out the final administrative procedures in the discharge office, either on the ground floor or on the floor of the department in which you were treated.

- Do not forget to remove items and possessions that you have deposited in the clinic safe.

What you will have to pay on the day of your discharge

Nouvelles Cliniques Nantaises is a private establishment having a contract with the sickness insurance schemes and most of the mutuelles (top-up insurance companies).

For those covered by social security (apart from any agreement between your mutuelle and the clinic or responsibility for fees established by your mutuelle):
- the daily rate (Article L.174-4 of the CSS) due including for the day of discharge

- the patient contribution (20% of the hospitalisation fees unless you are covered for 100% by your health office or your mutuelle) or the social security benefit (for all acts for which the price is greater than 90 Euros)

- additional fees. These will have been sent to you in writing beforehand. You will be given an invoice so that you may send it to your mutuelle for possible reimbursement.

- the supplements which you may have requested: single room, television, telephone (prices are displayed at reception and in each room)

- optional services: drinks, meals and relatives staying the night.

For those not covered by social security
If there are no supporting documents or no cover for fees, you will be responsible for all the fees (cf. those covered by social security plus the cost of the hospital stay - GHS: hospital stay related group) together with the invoices from the various doctors who have been involved in your treatment during your stay.

Transport by ambulance or taxi

On discharge, you or your family must pay for the transport. You will be able to request reimbursement from your Caisse D’Assurance Maladie (Health Insurance Office).
