What you should bring with you

- Vaccination card
- Latest laboratory tests
- Cardiac evaluation
- Medical prescriptions
- Blood group card
The medicines and aids necessary for your stay
- The medicines required for the treatments you are already receiving and the prescriptions.

Your personal linen
Nightdress, pyjamas, handkerchiefs, towels and bath mitts, shampoo, etc.
It is a good idea to choose clothing that is comfortable and hardwearing. Bring a sufficient amount of clothing. You are responsible for the care of your personal linen.
For children in hospital, do not forget to bring their cuddly or a familiar object.
What you should not bring with you
The establishment will not take any responsibility for the theft of papers, precious objects and valuable items (cash, credit cards and cheque books) or any other belongings which are not necessary during your hospitalisation.
Visiting
In principle, visiting is authorised between 1230 and 2000.
The organisation of visiting is determined in agreement with the nursing teams and may vary from department to department. This is to make sure you are both safe and comfortable.
- Visits on the day of the operation will be short and very limited, as this is in your interest.
- Visiting by children of less than 10 years of age is prohibited without the prior agreement of the nurse.
- Your visitors are asked to leave your room temporarily during visits by medical staff and during treatment.
- During your stay please tell the nursing staff if you are leaving the department.
Peace and quiet
Silence
In the interests of everyone, silence is required in the corridors, rooms and waiting rooms. Respect the right of your neighbours to rest and sleep. After 2100 lower the sound on your television.
Mobile phones
In order to prevent interference with medical equipment, mobile phones must be turned off inside the clinic. Please tell your visitors.
A telephone point is available on the ground floor and telephone cards are on sale in the shop.
Safety deposit and withdrawal
Safety deposits
When you arrive in the establishment, or at any time during your stay, you can ask for certain possessions and items necessary to your stay (only such items) to be deposited with the clinic.
These items may be deposited in the establishment safe. This request for a safety deposit may be made at the admissions office when you arrive, or to the manager of the department in which you are being treated during your stay.
This safety deposit is entered in a register stating the date of the deposit and giving a list of the items deposited. You and the official duly appointed by the establishment director will sign the entry. You will be given a receipt for the deposit.
Withdrawal
Withdrawal of the items is possible when you are discharged from the establishment or at any time during your stay. The same people who deal with safety deposits also deal with withdrawals and the withdrawal must be entered in the register provided.
Notice of withdrawal is noted in the margin opposite the entry for the safety deposit.
